Submission Guidelines

Articles for publication should, in the first instance, be submitted by email to polina.ermolaeva@htmi.ch.

Please read these guidelines carefully and pay attention to the detail. Failure to follow them may result in your article being returned for amendment, delaying publication. In particular, please follow the referencing conventions used by the Journal, which are based on Harvard referencing.

Scope and Audience

Articles must directly address core issues in hospitality or tourism. They should provide a clear theoretical rationale for the work discussed rather than offer a purely descriptive account. Articles must be written to appeal to, and to be understood by, an international audience.

Originality and Copyright

The Journal will review all submissions provided they are the property (copyright) of the submitting author(s). Authors are themselves responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyright material from other sources. Articles will only be considered for publication if they have not been published, submitted, or accepted for publication elsewhere.

Peer Review

Each article is peer-reviewed by two members of the Editorial Board.

Article Format

All articles should begin with the title of the article, followed by the names, addresses, and email addresses of all authors. A brief abstract of approximately 200 words must precede the main text. Abstracts should be accurate summaries of the work undertaken, including the rationale, methodology, and conclusions reached.

Manuscript Specifications

  • Length: 2,000–6,000 words, including references.
  • Font: Garamond, size 10.
  • Line spacing: single.
  • Margins: 2.54 cm on all sides (top, bottom, left, right).
  • Pages: do not number.
  • Footnotes: avoid; integrate notes into the main text where possible.
  • Figures, Diagrams, and Tables: label and number clearly (e.g., Figure 1, Diagram 1, Table 1).

Abbreviations and Acronyms

All abbreviations must be fully explained at first occurrence, and the use of acronyms should be kept to a minimum, bearing in mind the international readership.

References

References must be included for every item cited in the article and should be presented in the Harvard style. Please follow these conventions exactly.

How to Submit Email your manuscript, including title, author details, abstract, and main text, to polina.ermolaeva@htmi.ch. You will receive an acknowledgement of receipt and notification of next steps from the editorial team.
